Mother Tongue was founded by us— Myles and Liam Snider. We’re Austin, Texas-based brothers and chefs who are on a mission to get more people cooking at home.
Both of us have cooked professionally in the past. Myles cooked at Hartwood, a restaurant in Tulum, Mexico that specializes in open-fire cooking with locally sourced and sustainable ingredients. Liam cooked at a number of restaurants in Vancouver, California, and New York, focusing on wood-fired pizza, wild-caught seafood, and traditional bread-making. After leaving the world of professional kitchens, we both became dedicated home chefs, and we want to help more people do the same.
We believe that the world would be a better place if more people cooked at home. For us, home cooking is the best way to eat healthier, be creative, connect with family and friends, and enjoy the satisfaction of making something from scratch.
We wanted to share the products that we use in our home kitchen to cook more often, to be more creative, to explore new flavors, and to keep it easy and fun. Everything we make is designed with those goals in mind.
We believe that the best-tasting food comes from real, organic ingredients that are free of fillers, preservatives, and other junk. So that’s what we use.
From our kitchen to yours. Thanks for being here!
